The cool colours of winter are set with the crisp mountain air and clear sunshine of one of the world’s oldest ranges, the Drakensburg. Amazing views of the Giants Castle and Cathedral Peak give way in summer to the unbelievably green smaller foothills, stunning waterfalls, mountain streams and mysterious caves. These beautiful mountains bring immediate breathing space and a chance to unwind from our busy day-to-day schedules. There are a wide number of resorts to book from that are family friendly and kids of all ages will enjoy. A rich tradition of hand-made crafts and art can be found on the Midlands Meander, a self-drive experience across multiple small towns in KwaZulu- Natal.

There are several holiday resorts at the end of the north coast with beautiful caravan parks, self catering accommodation, chalets and first class restaurants. Beautiful Zululand, with magnificent mountains and huge game reserves must be explored. Not forgetting the warm pools in Vyheid, if you drive further up north you find the famed King Shaka’s royal military homestead, in a small town that has a blend of African and Indian traditions. “There’s something for everyone and for everyone to make life time memories.”
